Mission: Leviathan
Location: Diplomatic Suite
Timeline: MD01 15:25

Following their meeting in the science section, Cey'aaren had invited the couselor to be one of the first senior officers to visit the new diplomatic suite. The pair had made polite small talk on their way there, which had included a short turbolift ride. "And welcome to our consular facility," he was saying as the entered through the archway doors. "We've got a comfortable place to work just over here," Cey said as he steered Julienne toward the left side of the lobby.

"This is very nice," the counselor remarked, taking in the surroundings. It was certainly impressive for a diplomatic suite of this size.

"I'll give you a moment to get settled," Cey said as they reached a pair of wingback chairs flanking a small metal table with a computer terminal. "Can I get you anything?"

Seating herself, she answered, "I'd love a mocha rakatijino, if it's not too much trouble."

Cey’aaren was gone for a few minutes. When he returned he had two steaming mugs and a small stack to PADDs. “One for you,” he said leaning down slightly toward the counselor so she could retrieve her beverage from his grasp. Seating himself, he put his own drink on the small table and the trio of tablets in his lap. He handed one to Julienne and took one for himself. With a few quick taps he downloaded the data from the Tower Bridge’s antennae to both devices.

“How much experience do you have with communications systems, counselor?” he asked.

Offering a simple nod of thanks for the beverage, the counselor turned her attention to the Business at hand. "Not much yards the basics that are required in the Academy cupboard to be honest."

"Like I mentioned before, nearly all creatures possess some means of communication. I believe that something this big and obviously complex should make some big noises. So," Cey started tapping away on his tablet, "first, we just need to find the time-code from the comm array that lines up with the time-code from the creatures appearance on the sensor record."

Keating nodded, reaching for her device. "I'll see what I can find it." Tapping a few keys and scanning some information a few moments later, she offered, "I think I have something. Here," she offered, reciting the timecode.

Cey input the information from Julienne and there it was, bright as a Risian sunrise. At the exact moment the creature had appeared from out of subspace there had been a flare in subspace activity on multiple bands. "Would you look at that..." he said and transferred the display to the monitor on the table between them. "I think she's a chatty little thing."

The therapist smiled at the characterization and reference to a biological sex, but otherwise remained focused. There had to be some sort of rhyme or reason to make sense of.

He put down the first PADD and picked the spare up from his lap. "Let's take a look at these frequencies. Were any of the signals directed at the Tower Bridge?"

"I think so, but I'm still not sure how to make sense of what is exactly being communicated. Does any of this look like any kind of communication pattern you've ever seen?"

Cey continued to study the readout on his tablet as he listed to Julienne. "No, not particularly," he said in reply to her query. "I think that at this juncture your psychological expertise might be more beneficial. I'm thinking something along the lines of the basic fight or flight responses.... Maybe we can learn to mimic its signals, make it react the way we want it to. What do you think, counselor?"
